Children’s Craft Workshops
About This Program
Brain Waves for Change’s children’s craft workshops partner with local libraries, schools, and education centers to provide engaging workshops on brain science, neurological emergency response & prevention, and mental health awareness. Through interactive presentations and arts & crafts activities, students—especially those with otherwise limited access to learning resources—gain essential life skills and learn the importance of keeping the brain healthy.
Our creative approach simplifies complex medical topics, ensuring children learn in a way that resonates and inspires curiosity. By introducing these concepts early, we can spark a lifelong interest in understanding the brain, while also moving towards a future where neurological illness is destigmatized— starting at the root. Early education on emergency response equips them with the knowledge to take quick, effective action in real-world crises, potentially saving lives. Moreover, we provide take-home coloring pages, posters, and crafts to create lasting awareness and inspire ongoing learning among youth.
