Who We Are
Brain Waves for Change (BWC) is an organization dedicated to providing accessible and engaging neuroscience education through hands-on arts & crafts and visual storytelling. Our three service programs deliver interactive lessons to children at school, donate infographic magazines to our community, and host neuroscience art exhibitions for the public. Our youth-led team is at the core of our mission and services, aiming to empower young people to support their peers.

Join us for a fun-filled storytime and a play-doh activity as we dive into the amazing world of our brains! For ages 4-8.
We'll start by reading an exciting children's book: Brains! Not Just a Zombie Snack by Stacy McAnulty, a funny, fact-filled picture book where a zombie chef explores the wonders of the brain. Kids will discover fascinating facts about the brain's regions and their functions while crafting their own Play-Doh models. Perfect for curious minds and young scientists!

Join us for an interactive read-aloud and art activity, where we’ll explore the functions of our amazing brain and why we need to protect it! For ages 8-12. Registration Required.
We’re hosting an educational session where kids discover the wonders of the brain through a read-aloud of The Brain in Your Body by Bridget Heos. After discovering the importance of brain safety, they’ll unleash their creativity by designing their own creative “brain helmets” using markers and colored pencils. The brain is amazing, and it’s up to us to keep it safe!
